Located in a new sub division outside Sherwood park, this new modern house was designed for comfort and efficiency. Wall system was designed to achieve R40+ and Ceilings to R80. The heating system uses a condensing boiler to maintain a complete in floor radiant system through a product called Warmboard. Clothes dryers are condensing type and fireplaces are electric to further reduce exterior penetrations. Orientation of the house and placement/size of windows were designed to minimize cooling requirements and take advantage of passive solar heating. The upper roof was specifically designed to accommodate 30 PV modules at a 3:12 incline facing South. An additional 30 panels are planned for the future over top of the garage.
